general FAQ

Do you serve NYC, BK or NJ?
As of 2023, I am no longer shooting in NYC, BK or NJ. With two little kids of my own, I have to stay close to Larchmont for activities and school pickups. I love these areas and hope to start shooting there again someday!

How far in advance should I book?
I’m typically booking two months out. For busy seasons like Spring and Fall, I’m booking 3 months out due to limited weekend availability. Please let me know if a weekday session is an option for you, that often opens up some availability!

Do you offer gift cards?
I do not offer gift cards, however I do have clients that regularly “gift” sessions. When the giftee reaches out to book a session, I will send you the invoice!

Where do you shoot?
I’m based in Larchmont. Currently, I serve Larchmont and the surrounding area. A travel fee applies if 10 miles outside of 10538. More specifically, I shoot in the home and mostly at parks. When you book your session we can find the perfect spot for you. During busy seasons, weekend sessions are limited and therefore subject to pre-determined locations.

What time of day do you shoot?
I shoot in early morning and late afternoon/evening light.

Cancellation Policy? If the Client requests to amend or cancel the contract 10 or more calendar days before the agreed upon photographic event date, the retainer shall be applied to a mutually agreed upon reschedule date. If the Client fails to show or cancels 9 or less calendar days before the agreed upon photographic event date, the retainer shall be forfeited. Mini sessions are subject to a different cancellation policy.

The weather looks bad, what now?
New York, am I right? I’m happy to reschedule within a month of your original shoot date or we can move the session indoors. Home sessions are some of my favorite sessions to shoot! Because the weather can change so quickly I do not cancel or move a session more than 8 hours beforehand.

Do you travel?
I shoot mostly in Larchmont and the surrounding area but am open to travel for unique cirumstances. A travel feel applies 10+ miles outside of Larchmont, NY. Traditionally, I do not shoot outside of Lower Westchester on the weekends.

What can I expect after my shoot?
After the shoot you will receive a digital gallery of your edited images within two weeks. My packages are all-inclusive meaning you will get all high resolution photos to download. Mini session deliverables vary and will be disclosed before booking.

When will I get my photos?
You can expect your photos within two weeks of your shoot day, if you’re in a crunch I can work with you. Mini session turnaround is longer.

What should I wear?
Solid colors and neutrals photograph well but my favorite photos are taken when my clients are comfortable and confident- so if rainbow, leopard-print tights are your jam, wear ‘em.

Do you offer studio shoots?
Yes. Studio sessions are held in Larchmont. An additional studio fee applies.

Do you shoot weddings or engagement photos?
No, but please keep me in mind if a baby is in your future! ;)

How long will my gallery link work?
Photo album links will be live for six months. I highly recommend downloading and backing up all the photos to your personal computer or cloud as soon as you get them!

When is payment due?
Payment will be due at the time of the shoot. A retainer is required upon booking to hold your spot. Editing does not start until payment is received. I will send you an invoice link to pay with a card- easy peasy!

I lost the link to my photos.
No problem, I can resend. The link will be live for six months post-shoot, however I highly recommend downloading and backing up all the photos to your personal computer or cloud!

Are you vaccinated?
I am fully vaccinated for Covid, HEP B, MMR, Td/Tdap and I get my flu shot every season. All of my equipment and props are sanitized before each session.

Do you wear a mask? I shoot newborn sessions with a mask.

newborn session FAQ

My baby isn’t born yet, how do I book?
The sooner the better! Usually three months out is a good time to book. Putting a deposit down guarantees your session within the first 14 days of life. I reserve my weekdays for newborn sessions and availability will not be a problem if you’ve put your deposit down in advance. When the baby arrives, reach out and let me know a time that works for you and we will schedule your session.

My baby is past the 14-day “newborn photography window,” is it too late?
Okay, no biggie. I photograph 3, 4, 5 week old babies all the time and they’re beautiful. I will say, however, accomplishing those sleepy, posed newborn portraits will be harder to accomplish and things like baby acne tends to show up around weeks 3 & 4. Older newborn galleries are less sleepy, posed shots and have more lifestyle shots.

What should my baby wear?
Less is more. I want to document their newborn features, rolls and wrinkles. Baby clothes tend to swallow a newborn. When our session starts I ask for your baby to be in a diaper with a swaddle and we’ll go from there!

What do you bring?
I provide swaddles, blankets, backdrops and bows. I also bring a space heater and sound machine.

How do I prep my space?
I will need a cleared space next to a natural light source. Make your bed, open the blinds and get your space photo-ready. Typically we will shoot in the nursery, living area and master bedroom. Please have all animals put away (unless you’d like them included for a shot).

Will you take family photos too?
Absolutely. We will divide time for a variety of shots. I will take family lifestyle photos around the home, sibling photos if applicable and of course, newborn portraits.

Are you vaccinated?
I am fully vaccinated for Covid, HEP B, MMR, Td/Tdap and I get my flu shot every season. All of my equipment and props are sanitized before each session.

Do you wear a mask? Yes, I wear a K-N95 mask while photographing your newborn.
