I’m Amanda Berce (pronounced BURS)

A Texan living in New York with my husband, two daughters and doodle. I have a passion for all things creative and artsy-fartsy. I appreciate sarcasm, a good joke and a decent Mexican restaurant.

I aim to keep your session light and easy-going. When I started shooting full time I quickly realized how much I love the in-between moments, the moments that make you, you. So while your gallery will have a few posed shots for good measure, I spend most of our session capturing your personalities, dynamics and authentic selves. I enjoy shooting the imperfections, silliness and realness of a session, after all I’m hired to photograph your real-life family, not a bunch of mannequins!

Before I was a full time photographer I worked as an art director for advertising and design firms- so when my clients tell me they aren’t comfortable in front of the camera I have the technical experience of setting a shot while creating and evoking natural poses. I’m also a mom so I totally understand the occasional need for a snack break or a pause for big feelings. This is supposed to be fun, no stress!
